Between the two of them Guy Smith and Mark Loy,
co-owners of S&L Homes, Inc., have more than 35 years in the building
industry, which may explain how they got so good at what they do.
"We both had been part of family-owned businesses, and
had been friends for a long time. When it was time to do something
else,
Mark and I knew that we could go into business for ourselves
and really make a go of it," says Guy. "Everyone in
the industry knows us, and they know how we do business, so
we felt strongly
that we could be successful."
That was nearly three years ago, and S&L homes is positioning
itself as one of the most respected homebuilders in the area.
As a smaller company, Mark and Guy take pride in the fact
that they have the ability and the time to remain hands-on
with each project. "We're actually out there, involved
in the building process every step of the way. We put a little
extra TLC into every project. If a customer calls with questions
or concerns, we make ourselves available to address them."
The goal of S&L Homes is to give the customer the most value
for their money and to do it with a personal touch. "From
start to finish, we are involved in the process. I'm at the closing
table, making sure that the customer knows that we care, and
feels like their needs are being taken care of," says Guy.
Because of that dedication, REALTORS® who have
worked with S&L Homes
come back time after time, and are delighted to find that consistency
is one of the many things that sets S&L Homes apart from the
rest.
With projects in several subdivisions including Hunter Ridge,
Hathaway Hills and Henderson Oaks in Charlotte and Woodland
Hills in Mooresvile, S&L Homes has put their signature approach
into a wide range of styles and price ranges. "We are able
to put in special touches that the larger builders might not
do because it's cost prohibitive. I built my own home, and I
put the same care and concern into building the starter homes
as I put into my own. As particular and hands-on as Mark and
I are, I am absolutely confident that we put out a good product.
It's nice to walk away and see the home that you helped build
fulfilling someone's dreams. That's a good feeling. |
